We deliver skips six days a week from our base at Selby Energy Park across Selby, York, Goole, Pocklington, Market Weighton, Howden, Sherburn in Elmet, Tadcaster, Castleford, Eggborough, Thorne, Gilberdyke, Easingwold, Stamford Bridge and Malton. Enter your postcode, choose a skip size and pick a delivery date. We drop the skip on your driveway, front garden or private land, or on the road once a council permit is in place. When it is filled level, book a collection and we take it back to our licensed waste transfer station in Selby, where the waste is sorted for recycling.

Fill your skip level with the top edge and no higher. A skip loaded above the sides cannot be lifted onto our wagon safely or covered for the road, so overloaded material may need to come out before we can collect. If you think you will run out of room, book the next size up or ask our team for advice.

We cannot accept hazardous waste, which includes asbestos, oils and fuels, paints, solvents and flammable liquids, gas bottles and cylinders, corrosive or toxic chemicals, and anything reactive or infectious. Plasterboard must be kept separate from other waste. Mattresses, fridges, freezers and tyres can go in for an additional charge as long as you tell us when you book.

A skip can sit on your driveway, your front garden or other privately owned land, and none of those need a permit. If you have no off road space, we can apply to your local council for a road permit so the skip can be placed on the roadside outside your property. Tell us where you want it when you book.

Yes. We are an approved supplier for the local councils, so we apply for the road permit on your behalf. The council sets the permit fee and approval normally takes four working days, although in some cases it can be fast tracked for an additional fee. Call the office rather than booking online if your skip needs to go on the road.

Every property is different, so tell us about narrow roads, tight turns, narrow gateways, shared driveways and overhead hazards such as phone cables or tall trees when you book. We will check access before delivery and, if a skip wagon cannot get in safely, suggest a smaller skip or another way to clear your waste.

Every skip comes back to our own waste transfer station at Selby Energy Park. There the load is segregated into wood, metal, plastic, soil, hardcore and other streams so each one can be recycled. We aim to recycle up to 90 per cent of what we collect and we do not send any waste to landfill.

Skip sizes are measured in cubic yards, which is the volume the skip holds rather than its length. A 4 yard skip holds four cubic yards of waste and an 8 yard skip holds twice as much. Often, yes. Because we are a local company with our own fleet, we can usually arrange a skip of any size at short notice across Selby, York and the surrounding area. The price depends on the skip size, the type of waste and your location. Enter your postcode in our online booking form, choose your size and any extras, and the form shows your full price for a 14 day hire before you pay. There are no hidden charges: you only pay more if you add items or hire time you did not book.

Yes. Phillips Waste Management Ltd is a registered waste carrier, licence CBDU278627, and our Selby waste transfer station operates under environmental permit WE6413AA. That means your waste is handled legally from collection to recycling, which protects you as the producer of the waste as well as the environment.
