Our York office takes your call, and your skip comes from our own licensed waste transfer station at Selby Energy Park.
When it is collected, it goes back to that same site, where the load is sorted into wood, metal, plastic, soil and hardcore. We aim to recycle up to 90% of what we collect and send nothing to landfill.

Yes. If there is no room on your drive or in your front garden, the skip can go on the road once the council has issued a permit. We are an approved supplier for the local councils, so we apply for it on your behalf. The council sets the fee and approval usually takes four working days, so call us rather than booking online.
Will a skip wagon fit down my street?
Most streets are fine, but tell us about narrow roads, tight turns, cars parked on both sides, narrow gateways, shared drives and overhead cables or trees when you book. We check access before delivery and, if a wagon cannot get in safely, suggest a smaller skip or another way to clear your waste.
How quickly can you deliver a skip in York?
Online bookings need three days' notice, and our larger skips need ten. If you need a skip sooner, call 01904 411445. We can often arrange same or next day delivery when a skip is free near you.
What size skip do I need for a house clearance?
A 12 yard skip is the usual choice for a full house clearance, because it takes bulky items such as wardrobes and mattresses as well as general waste. For a single room or a garage, a 4 or 6 yard skip is normally enough. Remember a 12 yard skip needs a clear space to be dropped.
Can you swap my full skip for an empty one?
Yes, that is called an exchange. On the same visit we take the full skip away and drop an empty one in its place, and the new skip can be bigger or smaller if the job has changed. Call the office to arrange it.
